Our Live Music Schedule
We believe a great night out is built on good food, drinks, and the right sounds. Our regular live music program spans across the week:
Jazz Wednesdays
Midweek calls for something classic. Every Wednesday from 8 PM, Velvet hosts a rotating group of talented local musicians performing traditional Ethio-jazz and international jazz fusion. It is the perfect soundtrack for a relaxed business dinner or a cozy midweek date.
Acoustic Saturdays
Unwind with smooth acoustic vocals and guitar sets every Saturday evening from 7:30 PM. Featuring some of the finest vocal talents in Addis Ababa, these sessions provide a warm, intimate atmosphere on our rooftop terrace.
Salsa Fridays
If you prefer to move, join us every Friday from 7 PM for our legendary Salsa Night. While not a traditional seated band concert, our DJs spin high-energy Latin tracks that open up the dance floor for seasoned dancers and beginners alike.

Velvet is located on the 9th Floor of the T.K. Building on Bole Road, directly across from the Ethiopian Skylight Hotel. Whether you are a local resident, an expat, or visiting Addis Ababa for the first time, our central Bole location makes us easy to access by taxi or private car.
If you want to catch the best table during a live band performance, we highly suggest booking a day or two in advance.
